Welcome back to the first term of 2013

Hello everyone

I hope you all had a fantastic holiday and enjoyed the wonderful sunny days we had. I also hope you had a chance to read a good book or two. Do come and tell me if you did. I would love to hear all about it.

In the previous post I mentioned about the terrible fire at Beckenham school and how they lost their lovely library. Well, we can do something about it. This is how we can help.

On February 14th it is International Book Giving Day. People are encouraged to give books to their friends. We would love it if you could bring a book – new or second hand is fine as long as it is a reasonably current title and we will donate them all to Beckenham School. If you would rather just bring a gold coin then that is fine too. This will allow them to buy books they may be wanting. There is no obligation at all but we would love to see our community helping another community at such a difficult time.

Here is the link to the official site.

So, if you want to help please bring a book to school on the 14th February. There will be a drop box in the library if you want to do this before the 14th.

Thanks for supporting Beckenham School.
