READING CRUSADE

Reading Crusade
The Reading Crusade challenge is on once again. All you have to do is read six books.
This great challenge happens every two years and this time you can enter online yourself.

Keep an eye on our school library blog where we will place updates and ideas.
Also check out the  links for author websites, games and book lists.
There is also the wonderful Christchurch Kids Blog (http://christchurchkids.wordpress.com/)  where you will have chances to win extra prizes.
This is a great excuse to spend time reading during the holidays.

Reading Crusade

We have many children eagerly reading their six books as part of the Reading Crusade. Just because the challenge is nearly over doesn’t mean you stop reading. There are some wonderful new books in the library and I have added a few more fun sites to play around with on the library blog.

Check out the author and illustrator sites for the latest additions. Four of our children were invited to visit Fendalton Public Library to meet two of the Crusaders rugby players. The children were buzzing with excitement and delighted with their goody bag and signed autographs from Jonathan Poff and Tim Batemen.

Welcome back

Hello everyone.
It is great to be back in school. We have lots of exciting things happening in the library this term. For the seniors we are incredibly lucky to have two amazing authors visiting us next week. We have H.I. Larry – the author the Zac Power books. We also have Meredith Badger the author of many of the Go Girl books. Can’t wait!

We are also participating in the Reading Crusade. That’s where you get to read six books of your choice to try and win prizes but also to receive a certificate signed by the Crusaders Rugby Team. And that’s just for starters.
